Microneedling

Microneedling (also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy) is a type of treatment that uses micro needles to cause tiny punctures in the skin. These small contact points encourage the body to create a wound healing response and renew the skin cells. As your skin repairs, the production of collagen and elastin is triggered to give an almost immediate plumping effect. It can also help tackle other skin damage such as scarring, dark marks, sun damage and ageing.

"I noticed the biggest difference in my skin’s tone and texture.  That glowy appearance we try so desperately to maintain throughout an evening? Well, I looked like that consistently for two weeks after my first treatment, and then a month after my second."

FAQ

What is micro-needling?

DermaPen is a skin micro-needling treatment with minimum downtime which promotes scarless healing and natural collagen production in the skin to improve the appearance of scars, acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and rejuvenate the skin.

Does micro-needling hurt?

You may experience minor discomfort during the skin needling treatment but only across boney areas such as forehead and jawline.

Will it cause my skin to bleed?

No, the needles are so micro fine there will be no pin-point bleeding.

How much downtime is involved?

You can expect temporary redness of the skin for a couple of hours or a day depending on your skin type. The skin may feel a little tender for up to 12 hours. It's not advisable to wear makeup for 24 hours post treatment.
